Chapter 93 Woodlawn

Celebrating over 100 Years of brotherhood and Service

Founded in 1926, Woodlawn Chapter #93 has proudly served the Greek-American community for over a century. In January 2026, we proudly celebrated our 100th anniversary, marking a century of philanthropy, cultural preservation, civic engagement, service, and fellowship.

As we begin our next century, we remain committed to honoring the legacy of those who came before us while continuing to strengthen our chapter, support our community, and carry forward the ideals of AHEPA for generations to come.

About AHEPA

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) was founded in 1922 in Atlanta, GA to combat discrimination and support the well-being of Greek immigrants in the United States. Over the past century, AHEPA has grown into a global organization committed to education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and the preservation of Hellenic heritage.

As one of the oldest active chapters in the country, Woodlawn Chapter #93 has been an integral part of AHEPA’s history—serving the broader Chicago-area community with pride, leadership, and cultural dedication.

Capital Improvement Project

Woodlawn Chapter #93 has launched a Capital Improvement Campaign to support the renovation and preservation of our AHEPA United Home in Palos Hills. This important initiative will help modernize and improve our Home while ensuring it remains a gathering place for our AHEPA family and community for generations to come.

Help Us Build for the Next 100 Years. Follow our Campaign Progress Thermometer as we work toward our fundraising goal. We plan to update our progress following each Woodlawn Chapter meeting so members and supporters can follow the campaign’s momentum.

Learn more about our fundraising efforts and the different ways you can support this important project. For additional information or to purchase a raffle ticket, contact one of our campaign chairmen: Brother John Drousias at (708) 295-0952 or Brother Jimmy Kokkines at (630) 277-7641.
