The Sons of Pericles was established February 3, 1926, and was officially recognized as the Junior Order of AHEPA in 1928. The Sons of Pericles combined with Maids of Athena two youth groups have combined to contribute to such worthy causes as: Muscular Dystrophy, Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation, the Special Olympics, St. Basil Academy and Cooley's Anemia research.

The Sons chapter is focused in the Chicagoland area, but all are welcome within District 13 area. Young men from ages 14 to 28, christian faith or good moral character, is of Greek decent or is a child of a AHEPAN or DOP is eligible to join.

Sons is sponsored by AHEPA District 13 lodge. Joining allows youth to learn and succeed in taking leadership roles, project management, public service, and in person social networking.
