2026 Spring Golf Event
2026 National Spring Golf Event
The 2026 Spring AHEPA Golf Tournament will take place in Chandler Arizona. Golf will be played at the Whirlwind golf resort. We have arranged accommodations at the Gila River (Wild Horse Pass) Casino and Resort.
Practice round is Sunday April 19 (1:30) tee time
Tournament is Mon-Wed. …with the Banquet on Wednesday eve.
You will need to call the Hotel and Resort to book your room. Golf and admin fee will be collected by AHEPA. You need to submit the Credit Card Authorization form to pay for golf and admin fee and any sponsorships.
There is a link on the forms where you can book your room online…or you can call 520-796-4900.
AHEPA has been to this resort in the past. Golf and accommodations are truly amazing. We look forward to seeing everyone attend.

Chapter 205: Back to School Backpack Drive

Join AHEPA Chapter 205 in making an impact at the start of the 2026-27 school year, through our annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive. Each child receives a brand-new backpack filled with all the necessary school supplies. Over 1,000 backpacks were distributed throughout the Chicagoland area in 2025 in collaboration with the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and the 15th District of the Chicago Police Department (through the Westside Program). With the community members’ donations of funds and of time to assemble the backpacks, and with the Hellenic Foundation of Chicago’s financial support, we aim to help the kids off to a great start again this new school year! We have booked rooms for 48 players along with accommodations at the fabulous Westin Hotel at the resort. We will play 4 rounds of golf along with a group dinner and a farewell Banquet. We currently have room for 48 players. Based on early interest from the group. We can ask the resort for more rooms to accommodate more players. We are waiting to hear back from them. We have arranged club rental for $100 for the entire week. For those that want to stay extra days, our discounted room rate will apply.
This is how the reservation process will work.
You will need to be a active member of AHEPA to reserve a spot. If you are not an active member and wish to attend…you will need to join. Current active AHEPA members will be given priority.
You need to respond to this email to let me know that you are interested in attending.
You will need to make a deposit of $500 to secure your spot by Dec 31st. Deposits will be refundable up until April 15,2026.
You will need to pay in full by April 15, 2026 to guarantee your spot.
You will need to stay at the resort to participate.
You must play at least 3 rounds to be tournament eligible.
All payments need to be made through the AHEPA. Please do not call the resort or the golf courses in Greece to reserve.
The fee that is quotes on the flyer is in US dollars not in Euros. We have already done the conversion for you.

Chapte5 205: Hellenic History Tournament

Chapter 205 will invite students in grades 8-12 to participate in the Hellenic History Educational Tournament. Teams will compete to test their knowledge of Hellenic History, while learning about over 3,500 years of Greek history.
In the 2025 tournament, a record fifty-seven students competed on 19 teams for $12,000 in prize monies, and for the title of Hellenic champions. The top two teams qualify for the National Finals where additional monetary prizes are awarded.
With each passing year, this tournament continues to inspire young scholars to celebrate and preserve their rich Hellenic history-one question at a time.
Chapter 205: Offers HOPE
We are excited to partner with the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago for the Chapter 205’s second annual Project HOPE (Humanitarian Outreach and Philanthropic Engagement). The mission of Project HOPE is to provide food security to those children, families and individuals in our community who are in need. Please follow your heart and help us make this event a success by donating for the purchase of non-perishable food items and volunteering your time to package them. Chapter 205: Blackhawks Greek Night Outing
Be part of Greek Night as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Winnipeg Jets. AHEPA Chapter 205 is hosting a group outing to the Blackhawks and each ticket includes a special limited edition Greek themed Blackhawks hat!
Tickets will be available at a date closer to the event and can be purchased online at the www.AhepaChicago.org.

Come out for a great night of basketball games as we kick off the NCAA Division Men’s Basketball Tournament. The proceeds go to our “Journey to Greece”. This scholarship pays for a student to study in for six weeks, viewing historical sites, and creating memories of a lifetime. Non-Smokers are free to attend this event, it’s held on an semi-enclosed outdoor patio with heaters.

Whether you fill out your bracket based on statistical analysis, gut feeling, team color, or which mascot would win in a fight you can help us raise funds for a good cause and have fun doing so. Maids of Athena is hosting a Toys for Tots drive for Luries Children’s Hospital. The toys will be provided to the Hospital’s treasure chest for kids to select a toy from when they visit for a treatment. the treasure chest program runs all year round.

AHEPA National Golf Tournament New Mexico
AHEPA National: Golf Tournament New Mexico
Pleased to announce the AHEPA National fall golf tournament. This year’s event will take place November 4-9 in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico (near Albuquerque).
Hotel Location: Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa
Golf Courses: 2 different golf courses (Twin Warriors and Santa Ana).
It will be the first time we have gone to New Mexico for a National Tournament. Wednesday November 5th is the practice round. The 3 day tournament will begin Thursday morning Nov 6. We will conclude with a banquet on Saturday evening Nov. 8. Breakfast every day is included in the price.
Registration Process:
mail Chris Atsaves or Sandy and let us know you are coming. If you come and know your roommate…let us know that as well. We will make reservations for you at the resort. You will not get charged until you arrive at the resort.
We will need everyone to pre-pay for golf and admin fee. That is being collected by the AHEPA. 4 rounds of golf is $600 and admin fee is $150. You will need to fill out the credit card form and send/email to Rory at AHEPA HQ or to me at chris.atsaves@ubs.com.

Chapter 205: Wine Night and Benefit Raffle
Join us on Saturday, October 24, at VIN312 Winery (4710 N Ravenswood, Chicago, IL 60640 - map) as we host a Wine Night and Chapter Benefit Raffle. The event begins at 6:00PM, and all tickets include wine, food, and will be automatically entered into the raffle.
All proceeds from the evening will support the chapter’s educational and philanthropic programs, including the Hellenic History Tournament, Back-to-School program, Journey to Greece, Holiday Toy Drive, Feed6, educational scholarships, and more!
