The Daughters of Penelope was established November 16, 1929 as the Women's Affiliate of AHEPA. It is the first Greek-American women's organization in the United States. One of its crowning achievements is Penelope House, a shelter for battered women in Mobile, Alabama. It is the first shelter for battered women and their children in that state

As the Sister organization of AHEPA District 13. We align many of our goals with our brothers in AHEPA for the same level of excellence and impact in our community. We operate within the state of IL and Southeast WI. Members come from all corners of our operating area. We host a multitude of events throughout our area to ensure we reach everyone.

Celebrating Women

District 13 DOP fundraiser luncheon was a success. It was attended by many DOP and AHEPANs. It is important not just to attend but to donate sponsorships to support events as they feeds directly into the scholarship programs our organizations provide. If you couldn’t attend the event this year, we look forward to seeing you next year.

If you wish to make a donation towards District !3 Daughter’s scholarship program. Please reach out to our District Governor Faye Kallas.

We’re on Jeopardy!!!

Daughters of Penelope has been featured as a question on Jeopardy board several times. Let’s continue to spread the word of this wonderful organization to the world.
