Chapter 205: Hellenic History Tournament

The Hellenic History Tournament is an educational competition for students who want to learn about 3,500 years of Greek History. The tournament is open to students in grade 8-12 at the time of the competition. The top two teams qualify for the National Rounds to be held July 2027, where there will be an additional $10,000 in prizes awarded.‍ ‍

Students form their own 3-member teams, select a team name, and elect a team captain. Each team member is required to fill out the registration form and pay the $35 registration fee by the registration deadline. In return, each contestant receives a copy of “Hellenika, Heritage and History” by T. Peter Limber, the book used as the basis for most of the competition questions.

5th/6th Place $1,800

There are many opportunities to sponsor this great event. AHEPA and DOP chapters can sponsor teams. Anyone can provide a sponsorship to the tournament itself. This is a wonderful educational experience for students.
